About the Role
You’ll be responsible for operating machines and assembling OEM products with precision and efficiency. The role involves repetitive production tasks, occasionally contribute to design of new parts and manufacture work, and gear shaping/hobbing. We value autonomy, accuracy, and a proactive approach to getting the job done.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of machines and hand tools to produce parts to spec
- Manufacture and Assemble components based on drawings, instructions, and work orders
- Perform daily machine maintenance and report issues
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and CNC programs
- Manage inventory and ensure parts are stored correctly
- Assist with side operations (deburring, gear cutting, painting, etc.)
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Contribute to developing procedures and instructions
- Support special projects as needed
- Trade qualification as a Fitter and Machinist or equivalent
- CNC experience preferred (Experience with OKUMA machines highly desirable)
- Tech savvy with good computer skill
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and production workflows
- Familiarity with gear shaping and hobbing is a plus (training available)
- Understanding of WHS regulations and safe work practices
- $32–$36 per hour depending on experience
- Annual salary review
- 38-hour work week
