Property Manager
Position Objectives
The Property Manager is responsible to deliver on the broader team’s responsibilities and priorities and is specifically responsible for leading the Property Team with asset management strategies, maintenance supervision, property acquisition and development.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Develop and maintains and asset maintenance plan for each property
- Oversee and manage the acquisition and/or development of new assets according to agreed contractual arrangements
- Build strong, trusted relationships with co-operatives through effective and regular communications
- Establishes a property inspection program on a three yearly cyclical basis and conducts inspections, when required
- Liaises with contractors to ensure work is done in efficient and timely manner at the agreed cost and standard
- Leading and managing a team to achieve the property portfolios strategic goals
- The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in Property/ Affordable Housing (or similar)
- 5 years minimum experience in maintenance planning, asset development, costing and delivery
- At least 2 years in a management role in a relevant field undertaking staff supervision, budgeting, involvement in quality management systems and performance reporting
- Team management or supervision experience
- A commitment to working collaboratively and taking a proactive problem-solving approach
