ABOUT THE ROLE
ANROWS is entering an exciting period of renewal and are looking for a Project Manager, Knowledge Translation & Engagement (KTE) who can help shape what comes next.
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Communication and Engagement, you will lead highโvalue KTE projects that turn DFSV research into meaningful action.
You’ll collaborate with research teams and colleagues across the organisation to design, deliver and evaluate strategies that make complex evidence accessible, relevant and influential for policymakers, practitioners and communities.
A major focus of this role is bringing ANROWS’ new KTE Framework to life — embedding it across the organisation and supporting strategic partnerships that amplify our reach. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our engagement with policy, practice and sector stakeholders remains strong, purposeful and aligned with ANROWS’ strategic objectives throughout this transition period.
This opportunity will suit someone with experience working in the DFSV sector and shares ANROWS’ vision of ending violence against women and children through evidenceโinformed action.
Key responsibilities
- Drive the development and implementation of ANROWS’ knowledge translation strategy
- Build relationships and partnerships and facilitate connections so that DFSV evidence integrates experience, context and community insight .
- Embed KT planning into project design and commissioning aligned with organisational priorities.
- Make the evidence accessible, actionable, and tailored to the needs of different stakeholders.
- Work with policy makers to support evidence-informed decision making.
- Work with practitioners to support evidence-informed service design, delivery, and continuous improvement.
- Advise senior leaders on opportunities to maximise the impact of ANROWS evidence and strengthen strategic engagement
- Partner with Strategic Communications to maximise reach and engagement
- Work with research and internal teams to coโdesign tools and resources with the sector
- Use evaluation insights to strengthen KT processes and improve evidence translation
Essential Capabilities and Experience
- Experience in a DFSV notโforโprofit or research organisation
- Extensive knowledge of domestic, family and sexual violence, including gendered and structural inequalities and the impacts of colonial oppression
- Tertiary qualification in public policy, political science, communications, social sciences or related field, or equivalent experience
- Proven project management capability to translate complex research into clear, actionable information, including experience developing KT plans in a DFSV context
- Extensive knowledge and insights in DFSV policy and reform context in Australia leading organisational initiatives
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with experience building purposeful relationships across government, academia, service providers and communities
- Deep understanding of genderโtransformative, transfeminist intersectional, traumaโinformed and culturally safe frameworks
