The opportunity

In this senior role as Philanthropy Manager, you will lead major fundraising in Victoria , working closely with the Head of Development and highly engaged Board members to grow support across high value individuals, trusts, foundations and corporate partners .

You will own a portfolio of major donors and prospects , leading conversations and making asks, while also identifying new opportunities across the market.

This is a highly r elationship-driven role , acting as the Melbourne face of the organisation and playing a key part in achieving ongoing growth of the Philanthropy function.

What you’ll do
  • Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, leading cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities

    • Identify and secure funding from trusts, foundations and private ancillary funds

    • Build and grow corporate partnerships across Victoria

    • Lead donor engagement activity including events, meetings and concert-based stewardship

    • Work with board members and advisory groups to identify and engage new prospects

    • Maintain CRM records and provide reporting and insights to support strategy and decision making
About you
  • Proven experience securing major gifts and leading donor conversations at a senior level

    • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to engage high value individuals and stakeholders

    • Confidence making direct funding asks and managing the full donor lifecycle

    • Strategic thinking with the ability to spot opportunities and grow income streams

    • Self motivated and comfortable managing your own pipeline and priorities

    • Genuine interest in the arts and the ability to represent the organisation with credibility
