Jesuit Mission are seeking a strategic and values-driven Philanthropy Manager to lead our major gifts and T rusts & Foundations fundraising . This is a unique opportunity to shape a program that directly supports communities across Asia and Africa to overcome poverty and injustice.

Reporting to the Fundraising and Engagement Director, and working closely with the CEO, the Philanthropy Manager will lead a small team and oversee a portfolio of major donors, high-value bequestors and philanthropic partners . You’ll develop and implement a multi-year strategy to grow sustainable, values-aligned support while ensuring every donor feels known, thanked and connected to impact.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trusted relationships , crafting compelling cases for support  and leading with integrity and heart.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead a 3-year philanthropy strategy with clear goals, pipeline coverage and stewardship plans
  • Manage a disciplined major gifts portfolio , including high-value bequestors and T rusts & Foundations
  • Partner with the CEO and Board to cultivate and solicit values-aligned support
  • Create dignity-centred, impact-driven proposals and donor communications
  • Collaborate across fundraising, communications and international programs to align donor interests with community-led priorities
  • Lead and coach the Philanthropy Advisor and manage external grant writers as needed
  • Ensure compliance with ethical fundraising, privacy and sector standards
About You

You’re a strategic thinker, empathetic communicator and experienced Philanthropy professional who understands the power of relationships and storytelling .

You have a  collaborative spirit , strong project management skills  and a commitment to social justice.

You’ll bring:
  • 5+ years’ experience in senior major gifts or philanthropic fundraising, with success securing five- and six-figure gifts
  • Exceptional relationship-building and presentation skills, with confidence engaging at CEO and Board level
  • Strong CRM and data management skills (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
  • Experience leading and coaching team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports
  • Alignment with Catholic ethos and Ignatian values
Desirable:
  • Experience in international aid and development fundraising
  • Tertiary qualifications in fundraising, marketing, communications or related field
  • FIA membership
