About the Organisation

The Property Industry Foundation is a respected national not-for-profit creating lasting impact for young people experiencing homelessness.  Through strong industry partnerships, collaborative fundraising and community engagement, they deliver practical outcomes that change lives. The Foundation’s key program is The Haven Project, where it works with the property and construction industry to build homes for homeless youth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the National Head of Fundraising, this newly evolved leadership role will be responsible for growing fundraising revenue across Queensland, with a particular focus on major gifts, philanthropy and long-term corporate partnerships.

You will develop and execute state-based fundraising initiatives, engage influential stakeholders and build meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners and industry leaders. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will also contribute to national fundraising strategy and help strengthen philanthropy capability across the organisation.

This is a highly relationship-focused role suited to someone who enjoys building networks, creating opportunities and delivering sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow Queensland's philanthropy and major gifts program
  • Identify, cultivate and secure major donors, foundations and family office support
  • Build and manage a portfolio of corporate partners, driving long-term engagement and retention
  • Lead donor stewardship, engagement plans and fundraising strategies
  • Work with the team to grow The Haven Project through partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work closely with the QLD Board of Advisors, committees and senior stakeholders to expand networks and fundraising opportunities
  • Deliver agreed fundraising and partnership revenue targets
  • Support fundraising events, campaigns and stakeholder engagement activities
  • Contribute to national fundraising strategy, planning and capability building
  • Lead and mentor direct reports to achieve high performance outcomes
About You

You are a commercially minded fundraising professional with a proven ability to build trusted relationships and secure significant funding outcomes.

You will bring:
  • Experience in philanthropy, major gifts, fundraising, partnerships or business development
  • Demonstrated success securing and growing high-value donor or partnership relationships
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Confidence engaging with senior executives, Board members and influential decision-makers
  • Strong strategic, financial and commercial acumen
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working within a not-for-profit, foundation, membership or purpose-led environment will be highly regarded
