Our client is seeking a People and Culture Generalist to join the team at their Macquarie Park office. In this role, you will provide advice and support to managers and staff across a broad range of people and culture matters. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant and timely people processes, while partnering with stakeholders to strengthen engagement and capability.
A key focus of this position is supporting the implementation and ongoing administration of a new HRIS. You will act as the HRIS Super User, ensuring data integrity, system optimisation and effective user support across the organisation.
You should be confident working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. The responsibilities of the role include:
P&C Generalist
- Provide timely, accurate P&C advice to managers and staff, supporting a range of employee matters
- Prepare and manage employee documentation, including staff movements, remuneration changes and statutory requirements (e.g. jury duty, leave confirmations)
- Coordinate parental, maternity and extended leave processes end to end
- Support policy reviews, consultation and communication
- Maintain up-to-date employment templates and P&C intranet content
- Support HRIS implementation, including system testing, data migration and staff training
- Act as HRIS Super User and administrator, maintaining data integrity across all employee lifecycle changes
- Configure workflows, approval hierarchies, permissions and document templates within the system
- Liaise with vendors, manage system updates and provide ongoing user support and training
- Monitor policy acknowledgements and regulatory compliance (e.g. AHPRA, visa requirements, probation periods)
- Support onboarding and induction, including system navigation
- Produce dashboards, board reports and monthly workforce metrics (headcount, turnover, vacancies, absenteeism, diversity)
- Coordinate annual WGEA reporting
- Provide backup support across the P&C team and contribute to wider initiatives
- Review and improve processes to drive efficiency and continuous improvement
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally around 5 years
- Experience with HRIS implementation and or system administration
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and award interpretation
- Advanced attention to detail, data integrity and organisation, with a strong work ethic and proactive attitude
- Strong written communication skills, with experience producing workforce reports, analytics and board-level insights
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
