Key responsibilities:
- Coach managers on workforce strategies and industrial relations matters, helping them understand impacts on their teams and how to apply this in their daily leadership.
- Provide guidance and support on a broad range of People & Culture programs, including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance and recognition, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.
- Influence leaders and employees to embrace workforce strategies and foster a strong organisational culture aligned with values, behaviours, and the Employee Value Proposition.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation, industrial awards, and enterprise agreements to support effective participation in workforce consultations and negotiations.
- Analyse and report on workforce data to assess strategy impact, support the development of policies and procedures, and guide planning and implementation of key projects.
- Fulfil responsibilities as the Return-to-Work Coordinator, managing the end-to-end workers’ compensation process and ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with the HSE team on cross-functional initiatives, including injury management and workplace compliance programs.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or related discipline, plus minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment practices, legislation, industrial agreements, and awards.
- Confident in coaching, mentoring, and influencing, so to effectively inspire and motivate others.
- Passionate about, and a demonstrated knowledge of Human Resource best practices, trends and challenges.
- Return to work coordinator certification and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the requirements of WHS legislation and the WHS Act 2011.
- Computer skills utilising the Microsoft Office suite of products and a working knowledge of HR Information Systems (ELMO is desirable)
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement, discretion, confidentiality, and initiative.
- High level interpersonal skills including good verbal and written communications skills.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to manage concurrent activities with competing deadlines, with a solution focused, continuous improvement approach.
