Our client is seeking a Payroll Officer on a temp/short term contract.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Support the Payroll Manager in delivering accurate, timely payroll for all employees.
    • Manage masterfile updates and enter new starters in Dayforce.
    • Process payroll adjustments and assist with general payroll administration.
    • Respond promptly to payroll queries and manage the payroll inbox.
    • Build expertise in EmpLive and Dayforce while ensuring precise data entry.
    • Maintain confidential personnel and company records.
    • Prepare statements of service and other payroll documentation as requested.
    • Run and analyse payroll reports, ensuring compliance with legislation and agreements.
    • Interpret awards, agreements, contracts, and classification levels to ensure correct pay.
    • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and support smoother workflows.
    • Collaborate across Milsons Point and Ryde offices to keep operations running efficiently.
Criteria:
  • 3-5 years of end-to-end payroll experience.
  • Practical payroll experience in the care sector, including NSW Health, hospitals, or disability services.
  • Skilled in interpreting awards, enterprise agreements (EBAs), and employment contracts.
  • Able to take direction while working independently and proactively.
  • Experience with various HR and payroll systems, including automated processes.
  • Capable of managing high-volume administration while building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Approaches payroll with an employee-focused perspective.
  • Experience integrating manual and automated payroll systems effectively.
