Royal Life Saving Society Australia is a leading national organisation not for profit focused on reducing drowning and improving safety around water .

This role sits within a major national program that provides funding to community organisations, to improve water safety outcomes for multicultural communities across Australia .

The program focuses on people who are newer to Australia and aims to strengthen social cohesion while building stronger connections between local aquatic facilities and communities.

The opportunity


As Partnership Grants Coordinator, you will  lead the administration and day-to-day coordination  of a national grants program that supports community organisations across the country,  working closely with the Program Manager  to ensure funding is distributed effectively and outcomes are tracked clearly .

This includes migrant groups, councils, swim schools, aquatic centres and community organisations.

You will support the development and implementation of systems, processes and tools that enable funding to be distributed effectively and ensure outcomes are tracked clearly.

This role will suit someone who enjoys solving problems , working with both systems and people , and operating in a fast paced , evolving program environment.

This is an initial 12 month contract, full time role, based in Sydney, with hybrid working. 
  
What you’ll do
  • Develop  grant guidelines , assessment criteria , contracts and processes for Program Manager approval, ensuring they are practical, proportionate and aligned with program priorities

  • Lead configuration and day-to-day administration of the online grants platform, including workflows, forms, reporting templates and permissions
  • Support partners with applications, budgets, contracts and reporting requirements

  • Deliver training, guides and practical tools to help partners navigate the grants process

  • Monitor grant performance , data quality and compliance, identifying risks and supporting improvements

  • Work closely with internal teams to align contracts, payments, reporting and program outcomes
About you
  • Experience managing grants programs end to end - either as a grant funder or grant seeker.

  • Strong experience using grants or CRM platforms such as SmartyGrants, Good Grants, Fluxx or Salesforce

  • Ability to explain processes clearly and support a wide range of stakeholders

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple partners and timelines

  • Confident working with multicultural communities and understanding diverse needs

  • A proactive, solutions focused approach with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
Desirable selection criteria
  • Experience in public health, community services, sport, multicultural affairs or safety, ideally with culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
  • Familiarity with outcomes and indicators for participation, skills, social cohesion and equity, and with relevant national frameworks.
