The Opportunity

Reporting to the NSW Compliance and Business Manager, the role supports WHS, risk, HR, transport and insurance compliance across campuses through audits, documentation and systems. It also assists with board administration, finance reviews and implementing broader governance and compliance initiatives, ensuring readiness for audits and alignment with regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of accountability and safety. Regular interstate travel to school campuses is a key requirement of this role.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide executive support to the NSW Compliance Manager, including scheduling and communication across key platforms.
  • Travel interstate to school campuses to oversee governance, risk, compliance and WHS activities, including audits, policy reviews and board reporting.
  • Maintain governance registers, compliance calendars, and ensure adherence to NESA requirements.
  • Manage Working With Children Check (WWCC) verifications, staff onboarding and HR data systems.
  • Coordinate WHS audits, track incidents and support mandatory training compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with transport regulations and manage related reporting.
  • Administer insurance claims, maintain documentation and support campus-level insurance processes.
  • Contribute to safe, compliant and transparent operations across all NSW school campuses.
   
About You
  • Demonstrated experience in Risk, Compliance and WHS
  • Experience in NSW Schools
  • Internal audit experience
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and WHS legislation
  • A certificate IV in WHS and/or an auditing certificate is highly desirable.
  • A collaborative, resilient and hands-on style.
