About the Organisation
The Property Industry Foundation exists to ensure that every young Australian has a safe place to sleep. Through our flagship Haven Project, we partner with the property and construction industry to fund, build, and refurbish housing for homeless youth.
So far, we have delivered nearly 300 bedrooms in partnership with frontline charities. Our next bold goal is to deliver another 300 bedrooms within five years – and to achieve this, we are seeking a visionary fundraising leader to join our Executive Leadership Team.
You’ll be part of a small but passionate national team, with offices across NSW, VIC and QLD, and a central Sydney base near Wynyard.
About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the National Head of Fundraising is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the Foundation’s national fundraising strategy.
This role goes beyond traditional fundraising – it’s about forging transformational partnerships and uniting a coalition of corporate leaders, philanthropists, donors, and governments behind our mission.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver a national fundraising and revenue growth strategy
- Lead and inspire a high-performing national team of eight fundraisers across three states
- Grow and diversify income streams, including philanthropy, government, major donors, and foundations
- Strengthen national partnerships with corporate leaders in the property and construction industry
- Lay the groundwork for long-term sustainability through bequests, individual giving, and regular giving programs
- Advise the CEO and Board on growth and revenue strategy as part of the Executive Leadership Team
You're a visionary and hands-on fundraising leader, motivated by impact who thrives in a collaborative environment.
You will bring:
- 10+ years’ senior fundraising leadership experience, with proven success driving revenue growth
- A track record of engaging major donors and securing significant philanthropic gifts (capital campaign experience highly regarded)
- The ability to engage stakeholders at all levels – from construction workers onsite to CEOs in the boardroom
- Strategic thinking and innovation, with a focus on creating partnerships that deliver mutual value
- Strong leadership skills and experience building high-performing teams across multiple locations
- A collaborative and down-to-earth style, well-suited to a small, passionate team
- Lead fundraising for one of Australia’s most impactful industry-backed foundations, creating tangible housing solutions for homeless youth
