About the role

This newly created role will lead the design and delivery of the College’s CPD digital learning, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements, reflects member needs and aligns with best practice in adult learning. You will oversee the digital learning portfolio in line with the CPD strategy, supporting a more seamless learning journey from training through to ongoing specialist development.

Sitting at the intersection of strategy and delivery, you will work closely with committees, members and internal teams to turn CPD priorities into practical, high‑quality learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities:
  • CPD strategy development and implementation: Audit existing learning, identify gaps, and lead delivery of a refreshed Digital Learning CPD strategy, including commissioning and sourcing content.
  • Instructional design and content creation: Design high‑quality, adult‑learning-focused content using modern tools, with clear outcomes, varied formats and alignment to regulatory requirements.
  • Cross‑functional stakeholder engagement: Work closely with internal teams, members, committees and external bodies to deliver CPD priorities, ensure alignment and enable effective collaboration.
  • Learner experience and engagement: Create practical, engaging and accessible learning that supports CPD compliance and enhances user experience across platforms.
  • Quality assurance and continuous improvement: Establish a review framework, gather feedback and use data insights to maintain relevance, clinical accuracy and alignment with standards.
  • Educational continuity and scalability: Align CPD with training programmes to support lifelong learning, while developing scalable content for a broad member base.
  • Data-driven performance monitoring: Track usage, engagement and outcomes to inform improvements, optimise content and strengthen educational impact.
  • Vendor, technology and platform optimisation: Manage external providers, collaborate with IT, and recommend enhancements to ensure a seamless, user‑centred CPD platform experience.
Why you’ll love it
  • Opportunity to lead and shape digital learning for a nationally recognised medical college, improving how specialists learn, develop and maintain standards across Australia.
  • Collaborative, supportive team culture in a growing, purpose-driven organisation.
  • Access to professional development opportunities within an organisation that actively supports growth.
  • Salary packaging, gifted Christmas leave and a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home (3 days in office, 2 days wfh).
About you
  • Background in digital learning, instructional design, education, or CPD program delivery.
  • Experience working in or alongside a regulated environment, such as health, higher education, professional association or medical college.
  • Strong capability in training and assessment, with the ability to translate core competencies into clear, practical learning.
  • Sound understanding of adult learning principles, with the ability to design for a diverse professional audience.
  • Digitally confident, comfortable working with LMS platforms (Moodle or similar) and external vendors to deliver quality learning outcomes.
  • Collaborative and naturally curious, with a proactive approach to asking questions, identifying gaps and building your own knowledge.
  • Confident working independently, able to think on your feet and take ownership in a fast‑moving environment.
  • Comfortable leading projects end‑to‑end, from concept to delivery, with good judgement on when to seek input or support.
