Acknowledge Education is in the process of developing their Diploma, Bachelor and Master (pre-registration) of Nursing, and they are seeking a First Nations Registered Nurse with experience in teaching to write First Nations units and advise on other units, ensuring cultural sensitivity from a First Nation perspective.

About the Role

What awaits you:
- Lecturing, Teaching & Assessing: Deliver lectures and tutorials, assess and mark Nursing students' progress.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
- Developing Culturally Relevant Content: Create and advise on culturally appropriate First Nations units for Nursing courses at various levels.
- Support for First Nations Students: Assist in developing support services and systems to help First Nations students succeed in their courses.
- Staff Coordination: Occasionally lead and coordinate the activities of other staff teaching in the same discipline.
- Professional Development & Student Support: Engage in teaching evaluations, maintain professional growth, and provide support for at-risk students.
- Post Graduate qualification in Nursing.
- 5 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse.
- Excellent presentation and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of theory and practice.
- Demonstrated lived experience and broader understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and engagement with community.
- Completion or enrolment in a PhD in an area related to Nursing.
- Relevant tertiary teaching experience
- Demonstrated teaching achievements and results
- Working with Children's Check
