This role is ideal for an L&D professional with a strong understanding of systems training and the ability to drive capability uplift across a diverse workforce during times of change.
About the Role: In this hands-on role, you’ll take the lead in designing and delivering learning programs that support the successful rollout and adoption of new digital systems. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to create engaging training materials, deliver sessions, and support teams through ongoing development and upskilling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver learning programs and training strategies aligned with the council’s digital transformation goals
- Facilitate learning sessions, onboarding workshops, and user training across departments
- Partner with internal stakeholders to assess training needs and tailor learning solutions accordingly
- Monitor engagement and effectiveness of training programs, incorporating feedback to refine delivery
- Support managers and team leaders in embedding learning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Provide guidance and coaching on the use of new systems and technologies to support confident adoption
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment between system implementation and workforce readiness
- Demonstrated experience in Learning & Development, preferably supporting system or technology rollouts
- Proven ability to design and deliver engaging training and capability-building initiatives
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to connect with diverse teams
- Experience working within Agile or project-based environments is desirable
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, change-oriented setting
