The Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing professional and proactive HR advice and operational services to the General Secretary, Deputy Secretaries and Compliance and Operations Manager on a range of HR issues. Operations cover a broad generalist spectrum such as recruitment, induction, workforce planning, staff entitlements, learning and development, injury management and WH&S.
This is high varied role where no two days will be the same and you have the chance to make an impact in the industry they represent. The current HR Manager is highly focused and organised, so you can expect a detailed handover and a lot of support before her annual leave.
General duties include (but are not limited to):
- Manage recruitment and selection function, busy internal recruitment process
- Lead and provide high-quality HR Advice and assistance to staff on the full range of HR policies, procedures, and issues
- Attend committee meetings for HR advice and issue relevant reports
- Onboarding and inducting new starters
- Develop performance review infrastructure
- Payroll and employee relations administration and support
- General HR administrative duties
As a successful candidate, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as an HR manager or related role in a senior capacity
- Demonstrated experience across HR CRM Systems including the ability to report and analyse HR/workforce data
- High standards of integrity and discretion
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Excellent time management skills and highly organised
- High-level organisational skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure and use initiative within a changing environment
