Responsibilities include:
- The first point of call for all HR enquiries, working with all business units and supporting managers with day-to-day people matters.
- Coordinate the internal recruitment process for paid staff and volunteers – organising interviews, sending information packs, and follow up.
- Draft, issue, and save employment contracts, variation letters, and parental leave/Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA) letters.
- Prepare reports and presentations as necessary for the HR team, support payroll team and ensure accurate employee data.
- Monitor, respond or escalate inquiries - manage and respond to low to moderate-level employee grievances, complaints, and queries in line with organisational policy and Fair Work legislation.
- Update and maintain employee files in the database, support the onboarding and off boarding process.
- Small discrete HR projects and initiatives, wellbeing programs and employee engagement.
- Ad hoc HR tasks when needed
- Diploma or above in Human Resources Management (Bachelor’s degree in HRM/IR or related field advantageous).
- A knowledge of human resources management and Australian employment conditions – experience in the For-Purpose space highly regarded.
- Intermediate level skills in HRIS, Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), databases with the ability to learn systems and digital processes. Experience with Kronos and GRID beneficial.
- Excellent listening, verbal & written communication skills – ability to match pace with a dynamic team with strong organisational and time-management skills.
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have an ability to work both autonomously and constructively within a team.
