The Antony Kidman Foundation is a philanthropic organisation dedicated to improving youth mental health outcomes by supporting the work of The Kidman Centre, part of the University of Technology Sydney. The Centre is a recognised leader in evidence-based preventative and treatment programs for young people aged 5–25.

As the Centre embarks on an ambitious 5-year growth plan with the active support of the Foundation, we’re seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Head of Fundraising to lead a bold approach to major gift cultivation, business development, and philanthropic partnerships.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to build a high-impact fundraising program from the ground up.

Reporting to the Chair of the Foundation, you’ll develop and implement a strategy to raise additional annual philanthropic donations as well as substantially grow our endowment fund

Your work will directly enable the scale-up of nationally recognised mental health programs.

You will:
  • Develop and deliver a strategic fundraising and business development plan
  • Identify and engage new major donors, philanthropic individuals, family foundations and corporate partners
  • Steward existing supporters
  • Collaborate with advocacy and PR partners to elevate visibility and donor engagement
  • Lay the foundations for a scalable fundraising function as giving grows
About You

You’re a relationship-driven fundraising or business development leader who thrives in a start-up style environment.

You’re excited by the opportunity to build something meaningful and bring the confidence, resilience and creativity needed to drive results.

You will bring:
  • A proven track record in major gift fundraising, philanthropy or strategic partnerships
  • Strong business development capability, including new donor acquisition and prospecting
  • Confidence in engaging with C-suite leaders, high-net-worth individuals and decision-makers
  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented approach and the ability to work autonomously
  • A deep belief in the power of prevention in youth mental health

Why Join Us?

This is more than a fundraising role – it’s a chance to shape the future of youth mental health care in Australia. With a respected brand, strong academic partnerships, and expert PR and advocacy support already in place, you’ll be well positioned to succeed.
