Redkite supports children with cancer and their families through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. This is a critical leadership role responsible for how that impact is communicated, understood and amplified.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Executive Team, you will define and lead a clear, compelling organisational narrative that strengthens Redkite’s position as both a trusted service provider and a leading voice in the sector.
This is a strategic and hands-on role. You will operate at a senior leadership level while ensuring high-quality delivery across media, content, digital and internal communications.
About the role
As Head of Communications, you will lead the communications strategy aligned to Redkite’s broader organisational priorities, while acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leaders on positioning, messaging and reputation.
A key focus will be building and delivering a thought leadership and advocacy platform that influences policy, public perception and sector outcomes. You will also elevate Redkite’s voice in the media and support the development of confident, credible spokespeople across the organisation.
Oversight of corporate communications sits within this role, including impact reporting, crisis preparedness and reputation management. You will guide storytelling across all channels, ensuring family stories are shared with care, integrity and consistency.
Working closely with Services and Fundraising, you will provide brand leadership and ensure alignment across the organisation. At the same time, you will lead and develop a small, capable team, fostering strong collaboration and consistent delivery.
About you
