The opportunity
This is a newly created Gifts in Wills Lead role , with the opportunity to shape how MS Plus builds lifelong connections with supporters and delivers lasting impact through legacy giving.
In this role, you will play a key part in helping donors leave a meaningful legacy that directly supports people living with neurological conditions. You will create tailored, thoughtful, experiences that make supporters feel valued, connected and confident in their decision to give.
You will lead the stewardship and growth of the Gifts in Wills program, building relationships with supporters on the journey from enquirers to confirmed bequestors, which lead to gifts that fund vital services and research for years to come.
Working closely with senior leaders and your own small team, you will help embed a thoughtful, data-informed approach that strengthens relationships , builds trust, and grows long-term income that will shape the future of MS Plus.
This is a permanent role either full time or 4 days per week, with a hybrid working arrangement.
In this role, you will
- Lead stewardship strategies
to retain and deepen relationships with Gifts in Wills donors
- Manage the pipeline
to support movement from intenders to confirmed bequestors
- Deliver personalised donor engagement
through calls, events and tailored communications
- Oversee estate administration
supported by Bequest Assist, working with executors, solicitors and trustees
- Use data and insights
to track performance and improve program outcomes
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a consistent donor experience
You bring experience in donor stewardship, Gifts in Wills, and are confident managing sensitive conversations.
You are someone who enjoys building long-term relationships and understands the importance of trust, care and empathy in this space.
You will also bring:
- Understanding of estate administration and legacy giving
- Experience using CRM systems to manage donor journeys
- Clear and thoughtful communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including discussing/writing sensitive correspondence to donors, families and executors.
- Confidence working with data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
