Redkite is the only national charity in Australia focused on the psychosocial needs of children with cancer and their families- tackling trauma and financial burden by funding social work and mental health supports, financial assistance, therapy programs, resources, education and research initiatives.
As Gift in Will Coordinator , you’ll join Redkite’s Individual Giving team to convert leads into confirmed bequestors through thoughtful cultivation and solicitation- primarily via phone contact and personalised mail.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of fundraising and Gifts in Wills who is ready to take ownership and grow. We’re looking for someone ambitious, driven and proactive, because this role has genuine potential to evolve- bringing great opportunities for development and progression as the program continues to build momentum.
In this key role, you will:
- Build a sustainable bequest development program by prospecting, cultivating and soliciting Gifts in Wills prospects, using moves management principles.
- Increase and retain confirmed Gifts in Wills supporters through high-quality stewardship and cultivation- predominantly by phone.
- Engage warm donors and the wider community through direct mail, email, telephone engagement, information sessions and other initiatives.
- Build relationships with information seekers and “considerers/intenders”, guiding them through the journey and confirming gift intention and gift type.
- Deliver exceptional supporter care, including responding to enquiries and issuing GIW packs promptly.
- Maintain timely and accurate records in the fundraising database and ensure compliance with privacy and fundraising legislation, policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the broader fundraising team to optimise supporter engagement, retention and overall fundraising revenue.
You’re a warm, confident relationship-builder who genuinely enjoys connecting with people- especially over the phone- and you communicate with empathy and care. You bring a foundational understanding of fundraising and Gifts in Wills and you’re excited to deepen your capability in a role with real runway.
You’ll also bring the energy and be someone who thrives alongside a vibrant team , brings ideas, takes initiative, and loves being part of a supportive, values-led culture.
You have:
- Experience in donor development, stewardship and/or solicitation (ideally with GIW prospects).
- Excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills, with the ability to relate sensitively to supporters (including older donors).
- Strong written communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously while being a proactive, collaborative team member.
- Confidence using fundraising databases (ideally Salesforce) and Microsoft Office.
- Purpose with impact: help secure sustainable funding to support children and families impacted by childhood cancer.

- Hybrid working from Redkite’s Surry Hills office (3 days per week onsite). Candidates based in Melbourne may also be considered.
- Flexibility to shape the role as part-time or full-time , depending on your preference.
