As the Fundraising Manager, you will lead the organisation’s fundraising portfolio with a particular focus on growing and strengthening the Major Gifts program . You will oversee the full fundraising strategy across major gifts, direct marketing, events and community fundraising, trusts and foundations, and bequests.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with Marketing and Community Engagement, you will ensure donor journeys, brand alignment and supporter engagement are executed to a high standard.
You will manage a small fundraising team and work collaboratively across the organisation to grow income, deepen relationships and build a strong philanthropic pipeline.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the development and implementation of the organisationโwide fundraising strategy
- Drive research, prospecting and stewardship activities to identify, cultivate and secure highโvalue donors, with clear stewardship plans, committed giving and longโterm philanthropic growth
- Manage and mentor fundraising team members to deliver highโperforming programs and personalised donor experiences
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to optimise segmentation, supporter journeys and brand alignment across appeals and campaigns
- Oversee delivery of fundraising events and support community groups
- Monitor performance, ensure compliance, and provide campaign insights, reporting and analysis to senior leadership
About you
You’re a strategic, relationshipโdriven fundraising professional with experience in major donor cultivation and stewardship . You excel at identifying prospects, building meaningful longโterm relationships and developing strategies that move supporters from interest to impact. You bring strong communication skills , stakeholder management , and the ability to inspire and guide a small, passionate team . Your approach is proactive, organised and missionโfocused, and you enjoy balancing strategic planning with handsโon delivery across multiple fundraising streams.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising across multiple income streams
- Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing fundraising strategies
- Demonstrated success developing major donor pipelines and securing significant gifts
- Proven ability to create and execute prospecting, cultivation and stewardship strategies
- Ability to build networks of influential supporters and partners
- Strategic planning capability and project management skills
- Experience motivating, leading and developing team members
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or a related field
