The Role - Manager, Fundraising and Major Gifts
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, you’ll design and deliver HRLC’s fundraising strategy, manage a small team, and build strong relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners. You will build a strong pipeline to sustain financial growth, and your work will directly enable HRLC to protect human rights and influence systemic change.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement HRLC’s fundraising strategy, integrated with the Public Engagement Strategy
- Lead major gift fundraising, annual appeals, and donor stewardship
- Identify and cultivate high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic partners
- Oversee grant applications, proposals, and impact reporting
- Manage a small team and collaborate with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership

- 5+ years’ experience in major gift fundraising with a proven track record securing six and seven-figure gifts
- Strong relationship-building and donor stewardship skills
- Experience managing a small team and delivering ambitious fundraising targets
- Understanding of philanthropic trends and CRM systems (ideally Salesforce)
