Make a real impact on human rights in Australia! Our Client, The Human Rights Law Centre (HRLC) is seeking an experienced Manager, Fundraising and Major Gifts to join their Engagement Team. You’ll play a critical role in securing transformational gifts and building strong donor relationships - all while enjoying flexibility and a supportive, values-driven culture .

The Role - Manager, Fundraising and Major Gifts
Reporting to the Director of Engagement, you’ll design and deliver HRLC’s fundraising strategy, manage a small team, and build strong relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate partners. You will build a strong pipeline to sustain financial growth, and your work will directly enable HRLC to protect human rights and influence systemic change.

What you’ll do:
  • Develop and implement HRLC’s fundraising strategy, integrated with the Public Engagement Strategy
  • Lead major gift fundraising, annual appeals, and donor stewardship
  • Identify and cultivate high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic partners
  • Oversee grant applications, proposals, and impact reporting
  • Manage a small team and collaborate with the CEO, Board, and senior leadership

Your Skills and Attributes:
  • 5+ years’ experience in major gift fundraising with a proven track record securing six and seven-figure gifts
  • Strong relationship-building and donor stewardship skills
  • Experience managing a small team and delivering ambitious fundraising targets
  • Understanding of philanthropic trends and CRM systems (ideally Salesforce)
