We are seeking a First Nations Services Coordinator to support people to live well, stay connected and access culturally appropriate services.
This is a handsโ€‘on, communityโ€‘focused role. You will coordinate transport, Support at Home services and community engagement activities, working closely with clients, families, service providers and internal teams. These services support wellbeing, independence and social inclusion.
You will also provide dayโ€‘toโ€‘day support to First Nations people and contribute to service quality, compliance and sustainability.

Your work will include:
  • Assess client eligibility and register clients for appropriate services
  • Coordinate medical transport and community transport 
  • Be the first point of contact for Sorry Business
  • Maintain accurate client records and databases
  • Support clients to understand and access the full range of available service
  • Represent the organisation at interagency meetings and community forums
  • Attend and support First Nations events, celebrations and commemorations
  • Work with colleagues to plan and deliver culturally respectful community activities
  • Oversee the dayโ€‘toโ€‘day delivery of First Nations Support at Home services
  • Monitor service quality and safeguarding requirements
  • Contribute to service viability through monitoring package income and reporting

About you:
  • You are organised, culturally aware and comfortable working in a communityโ€‘facing role. You build trust easily and communicate with respect and empathy
  • Have a Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good organisation and followโ€‘through, including accurate data entry and reporting
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • An understanding of First Nations cultural practices and community expectations
