  • First aid training, including specialist courses for mental health, high-risk worksites and workplaces, and free first aid training for primary school children

About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and engagement, providing leadership, coaching and direction to the Finance Team members.
To be successful in this role we will require strong technical accounting capability with commercial insight and clear communication.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading month-end close, statutory and management reporting in line with AASB / IFRS
  • Preparing and presenting financial reporting and commentary to the Executive stakeholders, including non-financial audiences
  • Leading the annual budgeting process across all business units and providing variance analysis and commentary comparing actuals to budget and forecast
  • Managing external audits and acting as the primary finance contact
  • Providing commercial analysis across revenue, margins and cost drivers
  • Overseeing accounting for a significant inventory portfolio (~$1.5m)
  • Supporting grant income accounting (low volume, non-complex)
  • Supporting systems optimisation and future system transitions across the finance function
About you
We are looking for a confident and credible finance leader with strong technical foundations and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
You will bring:
  • 3 years minimum people leadership experience
  • CA or CPA qualification with strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS
  • Experience managing audits and working with external auditors
  • Experience with inventory accounting and management reporting, including stock valuation, inventory reconciliation, and working capital analysis in a product-based or distribution environment
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite or similar)
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence engaging with senior leaders and members at all levels of the organisation
  • Experience in not-for-profit environments is beneficial but not essential.
