  • $40 - $43 per hour + Super
  • Location: Sydney CBD, NSW, 2000
  • Hybrid working arrangement  – 2 days in office
  • Flexibility - evening availability required on event days

An opportunity has become available for an experienced and adaptable  Event Coordinator  to step into a fast-paced, delivery-focused role within a professional, membership-based organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on event delivery, thrives during busy periods, and takes pride in creating seamless event experiences.

This position has become available due to the departure of the current postholder. While the organisation is managing the permanent recruitment process internally, interim support is required to ensure a smooth handover and to manage scheduled commitments and ongoing activity during the transition period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver a range of pre-scheduled events, including professional development programs, examinations, and flagship events
  • Manage both large-scale events (up to 250 attendees) and smaller targeted functions
  • Provide end-to-end event support, including on-site delivery, meeting and greeting attendees, and managing in-house training facilities
  • Coordinate event logistics, suppliers, venues, and internal stakeholders
  • Administer RSVPs and support the smooth running of professional development activities
  • Work closely with internal teams to set up and manage events using  EventsAir
  • Monitor and manage allocated event budgets
  • Prepare event communications, schedules, and documentation using Microsoft Office
About You
  • Proven experience in an  events coordination or support role , ideally within a corporate, professional, or membership-based environment
  • Hands-on experience with EventsAir is essential - candidates with no demonstrated experience cannot be considered 
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently
