About the Role
Over the course of this engagement, you will play a key role in improving marketing automation capabilities, strengthening audience engagement, and supporting digital growth initiatives.
You will be responsible for building and optimising automated communication journeys, improving data segmentation and reporting, and supporting the creation of engaging digital content.
Key Responsibilities Marketing Automation & CRM
- Design, build, and implement end-to-end automated email journeys and workflows within Mailchimp.
- Develop audience segmentation strategies to deliver targeted and relevant communications.
- Review, cleanse, and optimise contact databases to improve campaign performance.
- Audit and enhance lead capture processes across websites, landing pages, and donation pathways.
- Conduct A/B testing across subject lines, content, layouts, and send times to improve engagement and conversion rates.
- Establish reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor campaign performance, engagement, and conversion metrics.
- Produce insights and recommendations to support ongoing marketing and fundraising activity.
- Support the creation of engaging digital content across email, web, and social channels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop authentic stories that strengthen audience connections.
- Assist in developing content and creative assets that support marketing and fundraising campaigns.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience building and managing automated marketing journeys in Mailchimp.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, audience segmentation, tagging, and campaign optimisation.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and customer or donor databases.
- Knowledge of lead generation, conversion optimisation, and digital marketing analytics.
- Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to quickly assess current processes and implement improvements.
- Experience with Salesforce, Raisely, WordPress, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to fundraising, membership, donor engagement, or customer retention programs.
- Experience working within the not-for-profit sector.
