The Role
NBCF are seeking a Data & Analytics Specialist (BI Analyst) to deliver high-quality reporting, insights, and data solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable insights, and improving how data is used across fundraising, marketing, and operations.
Working within the Data & Insights team, you will:
- Engage stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into practical BI solutions
- Design, build and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI preferred) to support business performance
- Analyse fundraising, campaign, marketing and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
- Support campaign delivery through accurate and timely data selections, segmentation and validation
- Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, transform and analyse data
- Maintain strong data quality, governance and documentation practices
- Monitor and resolve data issues, ensuring consistency and reliability across reporting outputs
- Contribute to improving data literacy and data usage across the organisation
- Support automation and optimisation of data workflows and processes
You are a detail-oriented and commercially aware data professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights that drive better decisions and outcomes.
You will bring:
- Experience in a data analytics, business intelligence, or data insights role
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
- Proven experience building dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret trends and provide actionable insights
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or similar)
- Understanding of data governance, quality and compliance practices
- Strong Excel skills for analysis, validation and reconciliation
- Experience supporting campaign analytics or marketing/fundraising data (preferable)
- Exposure to automation tools, Power Platform or workflow optimisation (desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
