About the Role
This role sits within a collaborative team of five across Dat, Research and Policy, supporting the delivery of several high-profile reports scheduled for release in June. Reporting into a Senior Data Analyst, the position focuses on data analysis, visualisation and quality assurance, working closely with the team who lead the written components of the reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and interpret survey data from across the community sector
- Produce clear and engaging data visualisations (primarily in Excel)
- Support reporting across key themes including cost of living, energy, water and housing
- Conduct quality assurance on datasets and published figures
- Assist with outputs for state-wide sector and consumer reports
- Work closely with Data and Policy team members to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports
- Strong Excel skills (essential)
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting
- High attention to detail, particularly around data accuracy and QA
- Ability to work at pace across multiple datasets and deadlines
- Exposure to Power BI or similar tools is advantageous
- Previous experience in the community or not-for-profit sector is beneficial but not essential
