Data Analyst – 12-month contract

About the role
  
You’ll report to an experienced Analytics Manager and sit in the broader Business Intelligence Unit.
  
You’ll liaise with a variety of stakeholders internally as you support data-driven decision-making. A core part of your role will be providing crucial insights for fundraising campaigns with donor segmentation and extraction, as well as post-campaign analysis.
  
Role responsibilities
  
  • Support the team with regular reporting requirements, using SQL to extract data into Excel/Power BI.
  • Build effective relationships through strong customer service when responding to queries and requests.
  • Maintain regular reports, suggest and assist in the creation of new reporting as required.
  • Prepare donor segmentation/selection/data extraction for fundraising appeals/marketing campaigns.
  • Provide insights and recommendations from post-campaign analysis.
  • Actively contribute to business process improvement projects and initiatives as needed, and assist with the administration and development of the data warehouse.
  
The successful candidate
  
You’ll be passionate about working with data to support business activities, and be able to complete deep work as well as collaborate effectively in a small team environment.
  
  • Relevant qualifications or qualifications by experience, advanced skills in Excel (formulas and VBA), strong proficiency with SQL coding, and Power BI.
  • Strong experience with querying/extracting data across multiple relational databases or data warehouses.
  • Transferable experience from a similar role providing analysis and insights (financial analysis or marketing campaign analysis experience will be highly regarded).
  • The ability to collaborate and interact with a variety of different stakeholders internally – delivering a high degree of customer service in every interaction.
  • Excellent time management skills, be able to prioritise competing demands.
