About the Role
As a Course Coordinator for the Diploma of Nursing program, you will provide academic and operational leadership, ensuring smooth course delivery and continuous improvement. You will oversee course operations, including timetabling, resource planning, and assessments. This role also involves developing new courses, supporting Course Advisory Committees, and leading staff professional development. You will monitor student progress, review safety protocols, and contribute to academic policy development. Additionally, you will teach within the course, sharing your expertise and fostering a supportive learning environment.

About the Role
As a Course Coordinator for the Diploma of Nursing program, you will provide academic and operational leadership, ensuring smooth course delivery and continuous improvement. You will oversee course operations, including timetabling, resource planning, and assessments. This role also involves developing new courses, supporting Course Advisory Committees, and leading staff professional development. You will monitor student progress, review safety protocols, and contribute to academic policy development. Additionally, you will teach within the course, sharing your expertise and fostering a supportive learning environment.
What awaits you:
- Leadership & Operations: Oversee course operations, including timetabling, resource planning, assessments, and staff performance management.
- Course Development & Research: Assist in creating new courses and contribute to research initiatives.
- Work Health & Safety (WHS): Implement safety protocols, address hazards, and participate in incident investigations.
- Staff & Student Engagement: Coordinate professional development, monitor student progress, and manage student complaints.
- External Relations & Compliance: Collaborate with external partners, ensure governance compliance, and assist in policy development and audits
- Qualifications: Hold a post-graduate qualification at least one AQF level higher than the course being coordinated.
- Experience: 5+ years of managerial and teaching experience at the degree/post-graduate level.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to connect with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Organisation: Ability to solve problems, stay organised, and maintain attention to detail.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understand the VET Governance Framework, Australian Qualifications Framework, ESOS Act, and CRICOS requirements.
- Commitment to Quality: Foster a commitment to quality assurance and high academic standards, meeting Fit and Proper Persons standards.
