Bridge Housing is a registered Tier 1 community housing provider and charity with a long history of delivering community housing in Sydney.
  
With a vision to change lives now and into the future through more homes and quality services, Bridge manages 3,600 properties across metropolitan Sydney providing a home to 5,700 people. Wellbeing is at the heart of tenancy support, identifying individual support needs and pathways referrals when a tenant joins Bridge to assist them throughout their tenancy journey.
  
The Opportunity and Candidate Profile
  
The Chief People Officer (CPO) is a member of the Executive Team and works in strategic partnership with the CEO, Board and Executive leaders to steward Bridge Housing’s organisational culture, workforce capability and leadership effectiveness. Key outcomes for the role include:
  
  • Lead a people team in the design, development and implementation of strategic people projects covering organisational development, workforce strategy, learning and leadership capability, work health & safety, change management and people governance.  
  • Ensure Bridge Housing has the capability, capacity and culture required to deliver quality services to tenants, meet regulatory obligations and support sustainable growth.  
  • Lead the People & Culture function, overseeing operational HR delivery through the Human Resources Manager and building an organisation-wide learning and leadership system through the Learning and Development Manager.
  • As a key adviser to the Board through the People, Innovation and Customers Committee, provide insight on workforce strategy, culture, capability, remuneration, succession and people-related risk.
  
This is a pivotal appointment as Bridge embarks on a significant investment in technology, systems and process to support the delivery of ‘2025 – 2030 A Strategy for Purposeful Growth’ and the successful candidate will bring:  
  • Demonstrated experience and influencing ability operating at Executive and Board level, providing strategic people and culture leadership within a complex, regulated or for purpose organisation, ideally in community housing, social services, government or other regulated sectors.
  • Proven expertise in organisational development, change leadership, learning and development and workforce strategy, ideally with experience supporting organisational growth, transformation or scaling.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance organisational performance, risk, compliance and employee experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
  • Commitment to social purpose, equity, inclusion and values-driven leadership
  • Proven experience facilitating and chairing large and small group workshops and meetings.
  
Desirable Criteria
  • Postgraduate qualifications in leadership, organisational development or business.
  • Experience using Culture AMP, Squadify and Employment Hero.
