Purpose of the role
As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, the COO works closely with the CEO, key internal and external stakeholder and provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of financial management, technology, project management office, grants & insurance management.
Located at the State Service Centre, the hub for the professional employed team who provide support to the volunteers, all of whom are driven by a shared sense of purpose. The role ensures alignment between operational activities and strategic objectives while maintaining fiscal responsibility and operational excellence.
Key Capabilities & Requirements
- Tertiary qualified and an engaged people leader, your executive leadership has ideally been gained in non-profit organisations, member-based associations or volunteer-driven organisations.
- Enterprise wide experience leading operations including IT, property, grants and finance teams with a priority in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Solutions focused, you will have significant experience successfully engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Expertise in establishing organisational goals, developing strategic and operational plans to lead and drive implementation.
- High level experience in the development, management and analysis of operating budgets and financial policies and models
- Guide organisational transformation initiatives aligned to strategic goals with measurable outcomes, fostering cross functional collaboration and embedding culture of growth mindset
Scouts NSW supports a hybrid working model of up to 2 non-consecutive days working from home and is located at Sydney Olympic Park. Car parking on site is available.
