Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia (A&AA) is a registered charity and the only national patient support organisation, dedicated to helping individuals and carers alike in managing allergic disease. Allergic disease is a chronic condition that includes allergic rhinitis (hay fever), atopic dermatitis (eczema), allergic asthma, food and insect allergies, the risk of anaphylaxis and other potentially life-threatening conditions. 
  
Australians trust A&AA for evidence-based information, guidance, support and assistance. A&AA works closely with related areas in Commonwealth and State government departments, the food industry, health and teaching professionals, as well as the Australian community at large. We have a Medical Advisory Board and work in partnership with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) through the National Allergy Council to deliver the National Allergy Strategy.
  
The Role
  
Reporting to the Chair and together with the Board, the new CEO will play a key role in driving the next phase of strategic growth. They will leverage the investment in digital technology to grow new programs to extend A&AA’s reach into new audiences, deepen corporate partnerships and commercialise aspects of the organisation’s intellectual property.
  
Key Deliverables
  
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the key deliverables of the role.  
  • Working with the Board to develop a strategic plan, vision and Theory of Change.
  • Business stewardship with strong financial acumen ideally in the not for profit, patient advocacy and/or health sector.
  • Strong people leadership experience ideally of a distributed workforce.
  • Significant sector and government stakeholder engagement and a nuanced approach to delivering collaborative outcomes working in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Growing and monetising services, intellectual property and corporate partnerships.
  • Delivering evidenced based services in the not for profit, health and/or patient advocacy sector.  
Location
  
A&AA supports a hybrid working model and while proximity to the Head Office in Castle Hill, NSW is highly regarded there is a willingness to consider candidates who would work completely or mostly remotely. For the right candidate there may be the option for 4 days a week.
