BEST Employment Ltd (BEST) is a well-established not-for-profit organisation with a 45+ year legacy of supporting regional communities across New South Wales and Southern Queensland. Through employment services, disability programs and community initiatives, BEST works closely with individuals, employers and communities to create pathways to employment, independence and improved wellbeing.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, the CCSO provides strategic leadership across key enabling functions including IT, marketing, reporting and analytics, quality and compliance.
This role ensures strong governance, systems and support functions that enable operational teams to deliver high quality services across BEST’s regional footprint.
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, the CCSO will lead and empower a corporate services team and drive digital, systems and organisational improvement initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience in a senior executive or strategic leadership role, ideally within employment services, disability services or the broader human services sector
- Proven ability to lead and empower multidisciplinary teams and support functions
- Experience overseeing corporate service functions such as IT, governance, compliance, risk or operational support services
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate organisational strategy into practical operational plans
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working within complex regulatory or government contract environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management capability
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across diverse teams and organisational function

The CCSO will oversee a team of approximately 8-9 staff across corporate services functions and work closely with a passionate Executive Leadership Team committed to community impact.
Candidates may be based within BEST’s operational footprint (including Inverell, Tamworth, Armidale or Dubbo). If located elsewhere, an initial onboarding period at the Inverell Head Office will support immersion into the organisation.
