About the role:
In this newly created role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality asset and maintenance services across Jacaranda’s property portfolio of 170 homes. Acting as a key link between tenants, contractors, and internal teams, you’ll manage maintenance requests, schedule and follow up on work, conduct inspections, and ensure all properties meet compliance and safety standards. With a strong focus on organisation, attention to detail, and service quality, this role plays a critical part in ensuring Jacaranda’s homes remain safe, functional, well-maintained for the people who live in them and ensuring high-quality outcomes for our tenants.

To be successful you will have:
- Experience in property, facilities, or asset maintenance management, ideally within a residential or community housing context
- Strong knowledge of maintenance coordination, contractor engagement, and compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and invoice matching
- Confidence in communicating with a broad range of stakeholders, including tenants, contractors, and internal teams
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation, including the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2009
- Working knowledge of WHS standards and experience managing compliance across housing assets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt quickly to asset or property management systems
- A current Australian driver’s licence and the flexibility to attend site inspections across Brisbane and surrounding areas
- Coordinate responsive and planned maintenance across a diverse housing portfolio, ensuring works are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard
- Act as the primary contact for tenant maintenance requests, providing clear communication and timely updates on progress
- Liaise with contractors to schedule works, obtain quotes, issue work orders, and monitor service quality and compliance
- Conduct property inspections to assess asset condition, identify risks, and support entry, exit, and compliance-related reviews
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, contractor documentation, compliance checks, and asset condition reports
- Ensure properties meet relevant legislative and safety standards, including fire safety, smoke alarms, electrical compliance, and WHS obligations
- Support financial processes by reviewing and matching invoices with work orders, and assisting with budget tracking and reporting
- Manage key allocation and access processes, ensuring tenant privacy and compliance with internal policies
