CWH is powered by a growing, high-performing team that embodies its core values of Accountability, Compassion, Inclusion and Integrity. They are seeking a new member of their team to support as an Allocations Officer for an initial 6-month contract, with potential extension.

Role Description

This role manages the CWH housing waitlist and coordinates the end-to-end allocation of properties in line with CWH policies and procedures, the Affordable Housing Guidelines, and the Residential Tenancies Act.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing eligibility assessments
  • Calculating rent in accordance with relevant guidelines
  • Conducting condition reports
  • Coordinating tenancy sign-ups
  • Overseeing vacancies and exit processes
  • Managing complaints related to allocations
Your contribution will enhance people’s lives by ensuring the timely, fair, and transparent allocation of homes to those who need them.

The Ideal Applicant

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will ideally have:
  • Experience within Community Housing, ideally in an Allocations role, or experience within the Real Estate or Housing sector.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence for mutually positive outcomes.
  • Experience executing projects including research, delivery and evaluation.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and rapidly adjust to unexpected events.
  • Excellent writing skills with high attention to detail.
  • Availability to start immediately.
