About the Position
As the Accounts Receivable Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a recently cleaned-up ledger and ensuring timely followโup of outstanding accounts. You’ll handle outbound customer communication via phone and email, negotiate payment options, assist with escalations, and support general finance tasks as needed.
This role suits someone with experience in Accounts Receivable, customer service or general accounts who brings a great attitude and a strong desire to grow. There is strong longโterm potential for the right person.
You will:
- Make outbound collection calls for outstanding and overdue accounts
- Send followโup emails regarding account status
- Negotiate payment plans and discuss payment terms
- Maintain accurate notes, records and communication logs
- Reconcile bank receipts with the finance system
- Resolve queries and disputes with professionalism and empathy
- Liaise with internal operational teams on accountโrelated matters
- Support monthโend processes and assist with ad hoc accounts tasks
- Attend the Milsons Point office 5 days per week
About You
You are motivated, positive, and eager to keep building your finance skill set. With around one year’s experience in accounts receivable, accounts administration or customer service, you’re ready for responsibility and longโterm development.
You will bring:
- Experience in accounts receivable, collections, invoicing or similar
- Strong customer service skills with ability to manage sensitive conversations
- Excellent problemโsolving and attention to detail
- Good organisational ability and confidence managing priorities
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Competence in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- A proactive, canโdo approach and willingness to learn
