Research & Insights Officer
Sydney | Hybrid | Help shape the national conversation around food insecurity
Full-time (4 days per week considered)

Foodbank Australia believes everyone deserves access to healthy food.
As Australia's largest food relief organisation, Foodbank works with communities, government, corporate partners and the food industry to support Australians experiencing hardship. But beyond delivering food, they also help drive awareness, influence decision-makers and shape solutions to one of Australia's most pressing social challenges.
Beaumont People are partnering with Foodbank Australia, looking for a curious and commercially minded Research & Insights Officer to help ensure their research is not only seen, but used to create meaningful impact.

The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to combine research, advocacy and social impact in a role that helps shape the national conversation on food insecurity.
Working closely with external research partners and internal stakeholders, you'll transform data and research findings into meaningful insights, compelling stories and practical recommendations that support advocacy, fundraising, partnerships and communications.
If you're naturally curious, love uncovering insights and enjoy turning information into action, you'll play a key role in helping Foodbank maximise the impact of its research and strengthen its position as Australia's leading voice on food insecurity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the delivery of Foodbank's flagship research initiatives and ongoing insights program.
  • Managing relationships with external research providers and partners.
  • Analysing research findings and identifying key trends and opportunities.
  • Producing insight summaries, reports and executive briefings.
  • Contributing evidence and insights to advocacy, communications and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Helping identify new opportunities to strengthen Foodbank's thought leadership and influence.

About You
You may currently be working in research, insights, policy, advocacy, consulting or the social impact sector and enjoy uncovering the story behind the data.
To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Experience working with research, insights or evidence-based programs.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability.
  • The ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling and actionable insights
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • A curious, proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
  • A genuine commitment to creating positive social impact.
Why Join Foodbank?
This is a rare opportunity to join one of Australia's most respected not-for-profit organisations and use evidence and insight to influence national conversations about food insecurity.
Your work will directly contribute to:
  • Informing public debate
  • Supporting government and corporate engagement
  • Strengthening advocacy efforts
  • Influencing funding outcomes
  • Helping more Australians access the food and groceries they need
