About Community Options Australia

Community Options Australia (COA) believes every person deserves to feel understood, supported and confident as they navigate their care journey.
Established in 1996 as a not-for-profit, COA has delivered innovative, person-centred care solutions for older people, people with disability, their families and carers for almost 30 years. Today they are a leader in aged care assessments, including the new Single Assessment System. Relationships are the cornerstone of their work, guided by values of integrity, excellence and respect, and a commitment to helping people flourish.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created role is one of three Executive Lead appointments as COA builds a new Executive Leadership Team.
This role sits at the heart of how COA delivers its services and the experience older people have when engaging with the organisation. Leading assessment services across NSW and the ACT, you will strengthen the structures, operating rhythm and leadership capability needed to deliver consistently across a largely remote workforce. The role will bring greater visibility to service and contract performance, connect teams across regions and continue building a service model that balances quality, timeliness and efficiency while keeping older people at its centre. Looking outward, you will also represent COA with government and sector partners, strengthen its standing in aged care and help position the organisation to expand its impact through future contracts and programs.

The Candidate Profile

COA is looking for an experienced operations leader who pairs structure and discipline with empathy. The ideal candidate sets clear expectations, builds accountable management teams and brings people along, and is motivated to grow with the organisation long term.

The ideal candidate will bring significant senior operations leadership experience across multi-site or remote, government-funded service delivery, with accountability for contractual KPIs, compliance and Board reporting. Strengths in workforce planning, performance data, clinical governance and CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) are essential. A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. health, nursing, social work or business) is required.

Experience in aged care, ideally aged care assessment (Single Assessment System, ACAT or RAS), is strongly preferred, and a clinical background will be highly regarded. Leaders from health, disability or community services are also encouraged to apply. Most importantly, the successful candidate will share COA's values and an unwavering focus on the older people they serve.

Candidates will ideally be Sydney-based with flexible working arrangements available.
