About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a team that delivers practical, commercially focused advice to members on a broad range of workplace matters. As an Employment Relations Advisor, you'll act as a trusted source of guidance, helping members understand their obligations, resolve workplace challenges, and make informed people management decisions. No two days are the same, with exposure to a wide variety of employment and workplace relations matters across different organisations and situations.
Whether you're building on an existing ER/HR foundation or bringing more established advisory experience, you'll be supported by an experienced team while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and advisory capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide practical employment relations, workplace relations and HR advice via phone and email.
- Interpret employment legislation, modern awards, and workplace policies.
- Support members with performance management, misconduct matters, workplace investigations, disputes, compliance obligations and employment-related queries.
- Build trusted relationships and serve as a key point of contact for member enquiries.
- Research workplace issues and provide clear, commercially sound recommendations.
- Develop member resources including articles, guides, templates and training materials.
- Contribute to educational content such as webinars, presentations and short training videos.
- Meaningful work supporting Australian businesses and industry professionals.

- Focus on quality advice and member outcomes rather than sales targets or revenue KPIs.

- Experience in Employment Relations, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Employment Law.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern awards.
- Ability to interpret complex workplace issues and provide practical, solution-focused advice.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A naturally curious mindset with the confidence to ask questions and solve problems.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications in HR, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations or Law will be highly regarded.
- Experience within a membership association, advisory environment, legal practice or professional services setting will be advantageous.
