We're looking for an experience Employment Relations Advisor to provide practical, day-to-day advice across HR, employee relations and workplace relations matters.
Working with the team, you'll be the first point of contact for member enquiries, helping managers navigate workplace issues with confidence while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and modern awards.
This role is focused on advice, guidance and coaching. You won't be dealing with unions, enterprise bargaining or complex negotiations. Instead, you'll help members understand their obligations and guide them through workplace conversations and people management challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR and workplace relations advice via phone and email
- Interpret employment legislation, modern awards and workplace policies
- Guide and support members with performance management, grievances and workplace disputes
- Assist members with onboarding, compliance and employment obligations
- Research workplace issues and provide practical, solution-focused advice
- Build strong relationships and deliver a high standard of member support
- Previous experience in HR Advisory, Employee Relations, Workplace Relations or Industrial Relations
- Immediately available and ready to make an impact
- Current knowledge of Australian employment legislation and modern awards
- Curious problem-solver, confident interpreting awards and providing practical advice
- Ability to explain complex information in a clear and straightforward way
- Tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, Business or Law will be highly regarded
