The Role & Key Deliverables
Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer and joining the Senior Leadership Team, the Director, Community Housing provides strategic and operational leadership for social housing programs and tenancy services across SGCH. Leading a multi-disciplinary team through eight direct reports, you will play a key role in driving organisational change, strengthening service delivery and supporting future growth. Key priorities include:
- Building a consistent service model across regions and improving customer experience
- Leading responses to complex tenancy matters, anti-social behaviour and customer escalations
- Reviewing and improving systems, processes and ways of working
- Driving leadership capability, engagement and organisational change
- Supporting growth and ensuring services, structures and systems are scalable for the future
Candidate Profile
You will bring:
- Significant leadership experience in community housing, disability, aged care, mental health, property or a related service delivery environment
- Strong operational leadership skills and experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams
- Executive to Board level advisory experience, a strong communicator, highly adaptable, strong relationship-building skills with financial acumen and ability to manage budgets, forecast and productivity improvement.
- Demonstrated success leading transformation, continuous improvement and change initiatives
- A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and improving customer outcomes through purpose-driven
Location and Work Model
This is a permanent, full-time position operating within a hybrid work model, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. The role involves regular travel across SGCH locations, including Redfern, St Leonards, Liverpool and Bonnyrigg. A current NSW Driver's Licence is required.
