Katie Badman is a Senior Recruitment Consultant within Beaumont People’s Education practice and a specialist in advancement, development and philanthropy recruitment.

With more than a decade of experience across higher education and fundraising organisations, including roles with the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Katie brings first-hand knowledge of fundraising strategy, donor engagement, philanthropy operations and the leadership capabilities that support sustainable growth.

Katie partners with universities and independent schools to recruit advancement and fundraising professionals, from specialist appointments through to senior leadership roles. Her extensive network spans major gifts, philanthropy, annual giving, alumni relations, stewardship, fundraising operations and development leadership, providing clients with access to both active and passive candidates across the market. 

She has successfully led searches for senior appointments including Frensham Schools’ Director of Development and Shore School’s Head of Foundation, while also supporting institutions such as the University of Sydney, UNSW and UTS. Combining deep sector expertise with a consultative approach, Katie is well placed to identify fundraising professionals and leaders who can strengthen donor relationships, inspire high-performing teams and deliver long-term philanthropic impact.
