About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Training Coordinator will oversee an internationally recognised surgical training programme, managing key training, accreditation, governance, and compliance activities across the full programme lifecycle. Working closely with medical specialists, hospitals, trainees, and committees, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality outcomes within a complex and highly regulated environment.
As part of a small, collaborative, and high-performing team, you will have the opportunity to drive process improvements, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to the ongoing development of the training function.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the end-to-end administration of the training programme, including applications, onboarding, assessments, progression, records management, and reporting.
- Provide governance and committee support, including meeting coordination, agendas, papers, minutes, action tracking, and board documentation.
- Manage accreditation, compliance, and document control processes, ensuring policies, procedures, records, and programme materials remain accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate educational events, workshops, and training activities, while supporting stakeholder communications across Australia and New Zealand.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with trainees, hospitals, board members, and key stakeholders, providing responsive support and guidance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, technology adoption, and AI-enabled efficiencies.

- Experience coordinating training, education, accreditation, membership, or professional development programmes, with a strong understanding of programme administration, timelines, and assessment cycles.
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including reporting, data analysis, and working with complex spreadsheets.
- Exceptional administrative skills and attention to detail, with experience managing high volumes of documentation, compliance records, and document control processes.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work.
- Excellent written communication skills, including document preparation, formatting, reporting, and stakeholder correspondence.
- Strong problem-solving ability, initiative, and confidence working independently.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in process enhancement, technology, and AI-enabled efficiencies.
- Experience using membership or training management systems.
- Governance, committee, or board support experience.
- Experience supporting assessment processes or reviewing and improving policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Experience using Canva or similar design platforms to develop training materials and stakeholder communications.
