GI Cancer Trials is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for people with gastrointestinal cancer through collaborative, investigator-initiated clinical trials and translational research.
Established in 1991, the organisation is a recognised leader in high-quality clinical research, working with strategic partners across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and North America.
An estimated 37,567 people are diagnosed each year with GI cancers, and 50 Australians are losing their lives to these diseases every day. With a vision of a better future for people with GI cancer , GI Cancer Trials has led more than 90 research studies involving over 10,000 participants, contributing to meaningful changes in clinical practice, expanded treatment options and improved quality of life for people affected by GI cancer.
As Fundraising Coordinator , you'll play a critical role in supporting fundraising programs that help fuel this vital research. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Philanthropy, you'll coordinate campaigns, supporter journeys, community fundraising initiatives, events and fundraising operations, ensuring supporters receive an outstanding experience at every touchpoint.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organised fundraising or marketing professional who enjoys bringing campaigns to life, building supporter relationships and making an impact through meaningful work.
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate community fundraising, peer-to-peer programs and supporter engagement activities.
- Support the delivery of fundraising appeals and campaigns, managing timelines, approvals and campaign administration.
- Assist with bequest, in-memory and trusts & foundations activities, including donor stewardship and communications.
- Coordinate fundraising emails, digital content and online fundraising platforms.
- Maintain accurate donor records, reporting and fundraising operations.
- Deliver exceptional supporter care and contribute to a positive donor experience across all fundraising programs.
You're a proactive and organised fundraiser, coordinator or marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys juggling multiple priorities. You take pride in delivering high-quality work, building strong relationships and ensuring every supporter feels valued.

You will bring:
- 2-4 years' experience in fundraising, supporter care, marketing coordination, events, administration or a related not-for-profit role
- Experience coordinating fundraising campaigns, community fundraising programs, events or supporter engagement initiatives
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience using a CRM or donor database system (Raiser's Edge experience highly regarded)
- Strong attention to detail and confidence managing data, reporting and administration
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and commitment to delivering excellent supporter experiences
- Genuine passion for the not-for-profit sector and making a positive impact
