We're seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a leading not-for-profit organisation on a 6-month contract , supporting fundraising, direct marketing and CRM activities across Australia and New Zealand.
This role is ideal for someone who not only enjoys working with data, reporting and dashboards, but also understands how data is used to drive fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, segmentation and campaign performance . Due to the short-term nature of the contract, we're looking for someone who can quickly step into the role and contribute with minimal onboarding.
The Role
Working closely with fundraising, marketing and stakeholder teams, you'll play a key role in supporting campaign delivery through data-driven insights, donor selections, segmentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver reporting, analysis and business intelligence services to support fundraising and direct marketing activities
- Build data extracts, donor selections and audience segmentation for fundraising campaigns
- Develop reports, dashboards and analytical insights using Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Conduct campaign analysis, donor profiling and data mining to identify fundraising opportunities
- Track, analyse and report on campaign performance and fundraising outcomes
- Produce regular KPI reporting, forecasting and performance insights
- Respond to stakeholder requests for analysis and data-driven recommendations
- Support and maintain reporting structures, data warehouse processes and campaign workflows
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting efficiency and campaign effectiveness
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Previous experience in a Data Analyst, CRM Analyst, Campaign Analyst or Reporting Analyst role
- Strong experience supporting direct marketing, fundraising, donor or CRM campaigns
- Understanding of donor segmentation, campaign selections, supporter journeys and campaign performance reporting
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with data warehouses or relational databases
- Experience using Power BI, Tableau or similar BI and reporting tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
- Experience within the not-for-profit sector
- Experience supporting Individual Giving or direct marketing fundraising programs
- Snowflake experience
- Knowledge of fundraising or CRM platforms such as Raiser's Edge, Dynamics, Salesforce or similar
