Events Manager
Are you a seasoned Events Manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, can hit the ground running, and enjoys rolling up your sleeves to deliver standout experiences? We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Events Manager for a temporary assignment with a peak body (associations & memberships sector).
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Until 30 June 2025
- Rate: $60 per hour (casual) – equivalent to $94,848 per annum + super
- Employment Type: Casual (Full-time or part-time options available)
- Location: Melbourne 3000 or Sydney 2000. Flexible working arrangements, work from home.
Event Operations
- Liaise with venues and AV providers to manage logistics and ensure high-quality delivery
- Coordinate all aspects of 4 upcoming state conferences
- Ensure timelines, budgets, and standards are met across all events
- Prepare regular status reports, track event progress, risks, and milestones
- Monitor event budgets, update forecasts, and support reconciliation processes
- Develop content for EDMs, social media, websites, brochures, and programs
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand and strategy in collaboration with our comms team
- Manage speaker communications, logistics, and travel
- Support sponsors, exhibitors, and delegate queries with professionalism
- Research and recommend future venues
- Assist with event strategy and planning for 2026
- Experience with events within association and/or membership based organisations.
- Proven experience managing large-scale conferences and events
- Expertise in event logistics, stakeholder engagement, and marketing support.
- Strong project management and multitasking skills
- Solid budget and financial tracking experience
- Confident using Microsoft Office and ideally EventsAIR
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills
