Job Description
This is a 2-3 month contract initially but it could be extended or go permanent for the right person.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate and manage current event portfolio including arranging a major annual event
- Develop marketing strategy and build on existing communications strategy
- Manage creative agencies, ensuring that they stay on track with key messages
- Actively build, develop and maintain key relationships with supporters, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders to ensure strong engagement and retention
- Develop opportunities to proactively promote and build reputation of charity
- Write media releases, newsletters and campaigns and sell them in to relevant media
To apply for the role you will need to:
- Have solid Events Management and Communications experience and able to pick things up quickly and hit the ground running
- Have experience of managing an event from start to finish
- Have a strategic communications background whilst being happy to 'muck-in' with all the tasks the event will bring up
- Be super organised, with a sense of urgency
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Be able to relate to people at all levels and from all backgrounds
- Be committed and professional
- Excellent with computers and database management and online research tools
