The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is the only national body that funds life changing breast cancer research with money raised entirely by the Australian public. Breast cancer is the most common cancer facing Australian women, with eight women dying from the disease each day. Research is the only way to prevent deaths, and improve how breast cancer is diagnosed, managed and treated. By funding only world class research, NBCF is working towards a goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.

The role is responsible for leading the Supporter Services Team.  The team is primarily responsible for processes the donations received by NBCF from individual donors and community fundraisers and provide the main human interface with individuals as they call, email or write into the organisation.  The team is also responsible for the day to day integration with the Finance team to reconcile transactions and maintain high quality records.  The position will work closely to support the Fundraising teams to implement the donor care strategies developed as part of the fundraising strategy. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and develop the organisations Supporter Services strategy and manage the day to day running of the team
  • Line Management of the Supporter Services team
  • Development of engagement program to engage and retain Supporter Services staff, including volunteers and temps
  • Provide visibility of the Supporter Services team across the organisation
  • Implementation of Supporter Services training program (including on boarding)
  • Full compliance management inc ensuring effective and efficient processes are in place for donation processing, telephone liaison and inbox management
  • Development of business rules for all process and procedures across the Supporter Services team
  • Ensure process and procedures are in place to maintain a high accuracy of data entry and CRM management
  • Lead the implementation of receipting and committing processes
  • Development and day to day management of all inbound and outbound donor care and processes around these calls
  • Actively recommend donor care strategies to the fundraising team to further increase retention of supporters
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting metrics to measure performance and effectiveness of the team
For this role, it is ideal that you have:
  • Experience in a senior Supporter Services role
  • Experience managing a Supporter Services strategy and developing systems and processes
  • Solution and results orientated with high attention to detail and drive for quality
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to grow and motivate a team
  • Advance numeric and analytical skills and conceptual thinking
  • Raiser’s Edge experience or a similar fundraising database
  • Proven success engaging and managing relationships with a wide and diverse set of stakeholders
